Grome’s has a deep and rich history in San Antonio; serving this amazing community & it’s surrounding areas since 1950. We’re a family owned business with 6 generations that have worked there.

Richard Grome, the previous owner built our location on top of Manitou Hill in 1978, and gave his daughter, Cyndi Grome, the business in 1983 who now co-owns it with her sister Irma Tremillo. They recently bought a new building in Universal City Tx, to extend our products and services to a new portion of the ever growing San Antonio area. Grome’s Sewing Machine Company is a known name throughout San Antonio as the best place to take your machine for service. Service is the heart of our business, as we are certified in most brands, and rarely will we turn a machine away.

We also provide the community with the best product and brands, as all our notions, fabric, and machines, are hand selected to be of top quality. At Grome’s we hold basic sewing, quilting, & embroidery classes with very knowledgeable instructors.
