Cutting fabrics of multiple prints based on ¼” seam for a 16” pillow


 

A 16” x 6.5”

B 16” x 2.5”

C 11.5” x 7.0”

D 4.5” x 7.0”


 


 

Sew with ¼” seam using your sewing machine or serger, piece A to piece B.


 

Sew with ¼” seam using your sewing machine or serger, piece C to piece D.

*** Option – Add piping when sewing piece C to piece D for added decorative style.


 

Complete your pillow top using a ¼” seam with your sewing machine or serger, sew section A/B to section C/D.


 

Adding Backing to Your Pillow

Cut two pieces measuring 16” X 21”

Fold fabric under wrong sides together 2 inches from bottom, Press Fold

*** Option – Consider a buttonhole or zipper to close back of pillow


 

Place the pillow front right side up. Lay each pillow back over pillow front. Right sides facing each other.


 

When layering backing over pillow top, please note that the backing will overlap in Center. Sew completely around outer side edge with ¼” seam. Then , turn the pillow right side out and insert pillow form.
